About the Course
This class will examine kinesics and proxemics in the context of interpersonal communication and threat assessment. Kinesics refers to the interpretation of body movements—including facial expressions, gestures, and posture—as nonverbal communication. Proxemics focuses on how individuals use and perceive physical space to convey messages, with varying distances indicating levels of intimacy, social connection, dominance, or submissiveness.

Mr. Jacobson has trained with The CP Journal Academy (Get Left of Bang) - "Tactical Analysis" reading behavior of individuals with violent intentions and capabilities. This domain of expertise is also augmented with training from the Department of Homeland Security- FEMA Active Shooter and multiple short courses from LSU National Center for Biomedical Research and Training - Academy of Counter-Terrorist Education.
